The F-15 Eagle is the standard fighter of American Aviation since the late 70s, when it began gradually to replace the famous F-4 Phantom. The Eagle is a big twin-jet with an ample wing-span lending it plenty of stability and handling control, which, when combined with its speed, have made this aircraft the best fighter in the last twenty years.
The F-15 also has excellent electronics, enabling best use of its missile armament. It was used by the American and Israel air forces in recent wars, showing its superiority over all the enemy planes it encounered, including the more recent MIG-29s.
