SUPERCAT 4-STROKE Glow Plug with SUPERCATALYTIC Coil.
THE COIL inside this glowplug is very special and it is designed to give a 4-stroke engine its optimum performance.
Compared to a 2-stroke engine, a 4-stroke has two extra strokes, during which time the coil will cool further. Therefore, a 4-stroke engine needs a coil which will heat up more quickly.
This rapid heating of the coil with the SuperCat glowplug is achieved by making the coil SUPERCANALYTIC. The metal from which the coil is made is not just highly catalytic but it is also formed in such a way as to dramatically increase the number of active catalytic sites on the surface of the wire.
Additionally, the coil has an extra turn, which further increases the number of active catalytic sites and the capacity to heat-up even quicker.
PERFORMANCE
So, how does the SuperCat 4-Stroke plug compare with other top 4-stroke glowplugs?
Firstly, it usually gives around an extra 100 rpm at top speed. Secondly, It will give a dependable tick-over at a lower speed. Thirdly, pick-up from idle will be stronger. Forthly, this stronger throttle response will be there throughout the rev range. The SuperCat is a fit-and-forget plug as it bestows top performance with total reliability.
NITRO CONTENT
Some engine manufacturers set-up their engines with low compression ratios while others use quite high ratios. The compression ratio tends to determine the percentages of nitro that can be used. The SuperCat will perform beautifully with nitro percentages of 0 - 30% so long as they are within the manufacturers' recommendation for the engine.
